On the hunt for a manufacturing job? Well, your timing is fantastic.
In early December, Dave Dreeszen from the that 10 new jobs will open up in Lyons, Nebraska thanks to the Brehmer Manufacturing Project. 50% of these jobs will be made available to low- and middle-income earning individuals.
The new jobs are courtesy of a generous $255,000 Community Block Grant from the . This federal money will help Brehmer to expand their facility and operations, while simultaneously expanding their workforce.
As reported by the Journal, the city’s loan to Brehmer will include $250,000 to construct an addition to the facility, an access road for said addition, and money to purchase equipment such as tools and a welding machine. The remaining $5,000 will be used for administrative costs.

Founded in 1971, Brehmer specializes in high quality truck and hoist products, both standards and specialty. Shortening and stretching truck frames, pusher axles, tag axles, aluminum or steel grain silage boxes and more are available, as well as specialty products including oil drain pans, surge grip truck ramps, transmission jacks, and more. If it has to do with used or new trucks or truck products, Brehmer manufactures it!
The facility also includes a fabrication shop with a CNC laser cutter, machining center, and material-handling center. This makes the newly available jobs at Brehmer a fantastic fit for students, recent grads, or manufacturing and construction professionals, especially those interested in the automotive or agricultural industries.
