The diversity of the manufacturing industry here in Nebraska never ceases to amaze us.

From motorcycles at Kawasaki in Lincoln, to food products at Hormel in Fremont, to injected molded plastics at Denver Plastics Nebraska in Wahoo, our state really has it all.

Adding to that diversity in manufacturing is , a metal manufacturer in Lincoln.

Founded in 1985, IntoMetal grew from its initial positioning as a supplier to the brick industry to the lawn and turf industry, and even more recently, into the manufacturing of agricultural and industrial parts and products. IntoMetal was purchased by Kinney Manufacturing in 2011, and has been strongly expanding ever since.

IntoMetal has , and prides itself on being a “true single source supplier” for manufactured metal parts, assemblies, and finished goods. Their capabilities include some of the following:

• Kitting & Assembly
• Powder Coating
• Turning
• Milling
• Manual Welding
• Laser Cutting
• Engineering

When IntoMetal says that they’re a single source supplier, they’re not kidding–from engineering, to manufacture, and even to painting, they have the capabilities needed to go from an idea to a final product in a relatively short amount of time.

All of that is good news for potential customers, but what about potential employees or other individuals who may be interested in a career in manufacturing?

Well, members of the latter group are in luck. IntoMetal’s expansion means that they’re constantly looking for new people to join their team. From internships to full-time positions,  offer a lot of flexibility, good benefits, and really, the great opportunity of getting a start in manufacturing at a strong local company. They’re hiring now to support their welding and laser cutting operations, but are open to applications from others, too.

It’s no secret that we love local manufacturers here at NeMAC, but we love local manufacturers who are hiring even more. As a growing company, IntoMetal represents the best of Nebraska manufacturing, and we’re glad to have them here in our state.
