We have very exciting news: Manufacturing Day (MFG Day) 2014 is only 3 days away! It’s happening all day this Friday, October 3rd, 2014.
If you don’t already know what MFG Day is, we recommend taking a look at our post about Manufacturing Day 2013 from last year. For a quick rundown, the idea is simple enough: on MFG Day, manufacturers across the country rally together to give plant tours, host workshops, and teach students about career opportunities in manufacturing. It’s a way to build education about manufacturing, and it also happens to be highly entertaining!
As we mentioned last year, . Our personal favorite is the plant/factory tour, in which manufacturers open up their doors and show students what happens behind the scenes in manufacturing. Some of these plant tours only happen during MFG Day, making it the perfect opportunity to get out there and learn about manufacturing!
In preparation for MFG Day (remember, it’s this Friday!), here are all the Manufacturing Day 2014 events :
Many of these events require pre-registration, so take a look at the links above if you think you may be interested in attending.
As we mentioned before, MFG Day is one of the best days of the year to get out there and really experience what manufacturing is all about. There’s really nothing like it, so for anyone interested in manufacturing, we definitely recommend getting out there (it looks like Lincoln is the place to be this year!) and experiencing a plant tour or two!
